cerro de Huayuncayo, era empozado el agua para arriba, cuando
unay kapak inka ganan gatbin. chay tarmatambu rnarga, wangri

antiguamente existían los incas. El pueblo de Tarmatambo y
marga, gara marganchakueha nunagunaba. chaymi, chaybita,

el pueblo de Huangri eran poblados de gentes. Por eso, de allí
yarqura quk ulqu tayta kila qutiyuq, waragan walqasha.

QUECHUA TARMEÑO: TEXTOS

                        

INTRODUCCION

 
La presente colección de textos comprende seis narraciones: una fábula,, una leyenda, dos histories y dos cuentos. El dialecto de los textos se habla en el distrito de Huaricolca, provincia de Tarma, departamento de Junín,y pertenece al grupo dialectal identificado por Gary Parker como Quechua B, y en la zonificación establecida por Alfredo Torero aparece en el grupo I. La característica fonológica de este dialecto hablado en los distritos de  Huaricolca, Tarma y Tarma y la Unión es la sonorizaci6n de las oclusivas sordas *p y *k en posición intervocálica y después de consonante no—nasal, aunque se observan algunas excepciones. El único ejemplo del cambio en otro contextos fonológico es el verbo ka— ser’ ga—, excepto en la combinación con el causativo kachi—.Otro rasgo importante es la fusi6n •h y .q; el fonema actual se realiza fonéticamente como una alternancia libre entre la velar fricativa [x], post—velar fricative [x] o la post-velar fricativa [q] y para cuya transcripción fonétnica hemos optado por el símbolo /q/. Ignoramos, sin embargo, el alcance geográfico—social de esta innovación.
En la traducción hemos preferido el castellano regional del informante porque lo consideramos inteligible, lo cual nos ha permitido,por consiguiente, prescindir de una versión en el castellano standard. Nuestro informante, Ignacio Zarate Mayma, nació en el caserio Ingenio (distrito do Huaricolca). Binlingüe, fue nuestro informante principal y colabor6 pacientemente en esta colección de textos Quechuas. Vivió hasta los 18 años en el lugar de su nacimiento, pero después se fue a vivir a Huaracayo (distrito do Acobamba), zona en la cual no sonorizan las oclusivas sordas, y donde probablemente vive gloriosamente sus 72 años. Por esta razón, su idiolecto evidencia interferencias dialectales del distrito donde vive trabajando como chacarero. En vista de las dificultades tipográficas para su representanción y con el propósito de que los textos sean leídos fácilmente personas sin formación lingüística, hemos utilizado los siguientes símbolos dígrafos para reemplazar los fonemas /palatal oclusiva/ : ch, /palatal retrofleja/ : tr, /palatal fricativa : sh, y /vibrante/ : rr
